____________________ Hello my friends.
Hun, I love myths, and Avalon with Excalibur and King Arthur is one of i loved. This is my version about the Avalon and not an exact form of the Mythologic Island.
"Avalon (probably from the Celtic word abal: apple; see Etymology below) is a legendary island somewhere in the British Isles, famous for its beautiful apples. The concept of such an "Isle of the Blessed" has parallels in other Indo-European mythology, in particular Tír na nÓg and the Greek Hesperides, the latter also noted for its apples. (...) (...) It is also said to be the place where the body of King Arthur is buried. He was supposedly brought there via boat by his half sister, Morgan le Fay. According to some legends Arthur merely sleeps there, to awaken at some future time."

I hope that you like. It's not perfect, I know. In fact I was trying to do another image, but the model and other details didn't fit with the background, as I love the back, I decided show it alone.
Great sense of depth in the picture and it is all really brillaint, especially the sea. I think the moon looks a bit of a funny shape, but that might just be me hehe.

Por acaso tb gosto mt da historia do Rei Arthur e Avalon, axo mm fascinante tds os misterios da mitica espada e como ele xegou a Rei protegido pela Deusa de Avalon...
I like it, it look a bit more "modern" than I've been imagine avalon - well "modern" as in a 19:th C building. Smth for rich Americans in New England.
But I can nevertheless imagine Morgaine leFay carry the body of Arthur up those stairs, quite afraid that she would skid and fall upon them, 'coz they look slippery.
Amazing, the spirits of the lords of the past live in your artwork...the king..the sword...the land...they will become one..and it'll be great......(ooohh merlin, were the hell are you?)
There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
