I tried to do a matte painting work. Of course is not perfect!

Can you tell me what's the main difference between a photomanipulation and a matte painting? I always wonder why some works are called matte painting although they look like a manipulation.

Hum, sincerely, I think it's almost the same thing. But matte painting is more realistic and you use more painting skills and not only "cut-past-some effects".

The idea is make the people believe that the image really exist. Something like this.
