This image is based in a book I'm reading: Black House, from Stephen King. Yes I love his books.

I tried to do a matte painting work. Of course is not perfect!

I really like this style, but I think it's very hard to do.

great work! I love the atmosphere and all the little details in it. :)

Can you tell me what's the main difference between a photomanipulation and a matte painting? I always wonder why some works are called matte painting although they look like a manipulation.

Hum, sincerely, I think it's almost the same thing. But matte painting is more realistic and you use more painting skills and not only "cut-past-some effects".

The idea is make the people believe that the image really exist. Something like this.
